The Don Nead Tennis Facility at Crystal Lake Country Club is open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Each Saturday and Sunday throughout the summer players of all levels can find pickup games for singles, doubles or mixed-doubles in our Adult Tennis drop-in groups. In addition to our drop-in groups we have many competitive tournaments during the summer including: Men's, Ladies' and Junior Singles and Doubles as well as the ever-favorite Adult/Junior Tournament.

We have three clay courts and two hard courts available for our members. Four of the courts (two clay and two hard) have lights for evening play. Arrangements can be made to use the courts and lights, if desired, either by contacting the Head Tennis Pro or registering at the Club's Front Desk. Users of the clay courts, in these off-times, will be asked to perform simple maintenance to prepare the courts for the next users.

Whether you play for fun or the thrill of competition we hope you enjoy our best in class tennis facilities. Players from our friendly tennis staff are also available to fill in for doubles and singles games and usually serve as great warm-up partners.

If you are a pickleball enthusiast we've got you covered as well! Our pro shop has all the equipment needed to play pickleball and one of our hard courts is marked with the lines for a regulation pickleball court. As interest in this rapidly growing sport increases we at Crystal Lake Country Club want to help grow the sport and introduce it to as many members as possible.

Our Junior Tennis program is proven exceptional and caters to players of all ages and abilities. Whether your child is a beginner and wants to learn the basic skills of tennis, or if they are in high school preparing for more competitive play, the instruction they receive is tailored to fit their needs. Many of our young players have gone on to qualify and compete in state level competitions. Additionally, juniors are always welcome and encouraged to play whenever the courts are available.

Group and private lessons are offered throughout the season with more than 125 juniors and adults participating and learning each summer. Two sessions of group lessons are available during the season with lessons of 30 minutes long for younger players and up to an hour long for players' 10-years-old and above. We also offer the use of ball machines for private practice or perfecting any and all of your favorite shots.
